  • Swappable hard drives

I have a ThinkPad with easy access to the hard drive. It’s one screw, remove a small panel and slide out the hard drive, slide in a new hard drive and reinstall the panel and screw. It all takes about a minute.

I have a drive for my Linux setup and another for windows.

I gave up setting up dual boot setups because I’m not as skilled or capable and I’ve lost entire setups in the past due to updates and changes and it was constantly frustrating for me. So I figured that just swapping hard drives was the easiest for me. No configuration, no changes and neither OS can interfere with one another.

I use my Linux as my daily driver for everything and windows when I need something from windows. I only ever use windows maybe once a month or once every second month. I spend more time regularly updating windows than in actually using it.

  • A confusing thing for me about this report is … where did this footage come from? Was this actual footage from an Israeli drone? Was it footage from someone else who filmed the strike?

I fully support the Palestinians and completely abhor what the IDF is doing but I’m completely at a loss as to where this footage came from.

Are the Israelis that callous as to freely release footage this graphic and blatantly horrific for the public to see? Or was it secretly acquired? Or is this footage from someone else in some other way?

It’s absolutely horrible that this is even happening … it’s somehow even more horrible to have footage of the actual acts happening and it’s aftermath and the world generally just not reacting to any of it.

This isn’t an Israeli problem … we’re all complicit in making this possible … and we’re all complicit in allowing it to continue.

We haven’t evolved … we’re no better than our ancestors a thousand years ago … we’re just more efficient about how terrible we can be to one another.

  • Hunger

That is usually the line when society will start moving towards revolution and change.

Get a little hungry? … people start getting angry

Get more hungry? … people start protesting

Face starvation? … people no longer have anything to lose and violent revolution becomes the only option. Why sit around waiting to die when you could just try fighting with a remote possibility of winning when your option is certain death?

This is also the reason why the whole western world does their very best to keep us poor but not so poor that we become hungry. As long as we’re fed, can afford some food or have access to food, we’ll let the powers that be do whatever they like.
