Crimson Desert just launched yesterday to a bit of a chaotic and mixed reception from critics. That hasn't hampered its sales, but those two million players are starting to stumble into some concerning issues in their first day in Pywel, including the presence of what may be AI-generated art assets.

    Using it like that for in-game paintings kind of sucks, wasted worldbuilding opportunity. If a game has details that imply you should spend time looking at them, they should have content that has to do with the game and isn’t arbitrary filler.

      Plus most classical paintings are public domain. If you want to be lazy but still have good art just put some of those in

    This is worded to be pro-publisher and makes the player base seem stupid and is very accusatory towards them.

    Have you fucking seen these images? There’s one with a two assed horse.

      Agreed. Especially since they’ve admitted to it now.

    Makes sense to me. From what I’ve seen I fully believe the UX and control scheme was vibe coded by an intern who has never touched a video game before.
