Well I got a new phone but it was a “low end” budget phone. Unless the carrier renegs on unlocking it, I may be able to do something if work works out. I’m over the fast-food mentality, not because I don’t crave fast, easy, sustainable solutions, just that I know rich arses profit, emotionally, financially, off of being as huge an impediment to progress for the masses.
Oh beware in less than a year Google will block installing your own apps. If you grab IzzyOnDroid and Obtainium you might be able to keep updating stuff that isn’t on the Play Store but I’m not certain. If it’s unlockable and on the LineageOS device list you want to expedite that!!
I’ve been watching that too. I really need to find some tutorials for the technologically challenged and get busy with learning, for that and Linux installation for laptop. I’m just kind of wiped out trying to balance everything just now but mostly I’m not confident I won’t ruin something I can’t replace just now. Understanding the general gist of something is different from understanding doing that thing. Can you recommend any tutorials/blogs/sites for either?
