most games are not foss, and it makes sense.
(games are more like works of art ranter than software after all, so it just doesn’t matter)
Amazon blocked my account while trying to purchase a gift card and are now demanding proof of ownership of the gift card they just refused to sell to me???
you can unsubscribe from “recommendations” separately tbf (or decline subscription in the firsr place)
telegram has an “advantage” of not having e2e encryption by default, which makes stuff like sync much easier as chats are fully stored on the server (encrypted with your user password).
and if you enable encryption (aka start a secret chat), the chat will only exist on the device you started it on and stop getting synced
it’s as easy to get into as lemmy/masto/fedi
that will prevent you from using any features that use gog galaxy stuff tho. achievements, updates, friends, networking etc
it’s currently opt-in rather than opt-out, fully on-device and won’t work on devices with weak NPUs (or on any which completely lack it)
unless it changes in the future it’s not that bad at the moment tbh
try Poweramp, it’s paid but it costs like 10 cents and comes with a 3 day trial (no subscriptions or other bs)
definitely the most feature packed player with no competition
the only reason I’m still using Privacy Badger is the feature that hides embeeded iframe widgets until a “view” button is clicked (for example, embeeded tweets etc)

it’s for the official Office keyboard.
it comes wirh shortcuts to ms office stuff and was supposed to work without installing any software, so they bound them to an extremely long key combinations no one will trigger by accident and shipped the changes to all windows users.
also another fun fact: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Win corresponds to the “Office” key, and hitting that combination will make Windows silently and automatically download and install the Microsoft/Office 365 App and launch it, even if it was previously removed
interacting with a pump sounds kinda awkward tho, i totally see why some people would prefer some sort of remote control, e.g. an app
I’d argue floating wms are more intuitive and some can still tile pretty well if you want that
I just treat polkit as “set it and forget” kind of thing and leave it on defaults, I’d rather spend my time on something more important
systemd is more of a set of products and software components branded under a single name rather than a single thing.
systemd itself is rather simple, as most other pieces systemd-* software, like systemd-boot, systemd-networkd and systemd-resolvd. these are usually more stable and less bloated than more popular alternatives
sudo is overkill for most users tbh
i mean there’s an official android port of it and it’s still being kept up to date, or is there anything wrong with it? (i see it has ads, but it doesn’t really matter if you block them on like dns level)
also i haven’t actually checked, but seemingly it may be bit too modern, don’t think ios 3 is fully supported yet
it also supports android and works really well on there
well, katamari specifically has some rendering issues with text but they’re really minor and don’t affect gameplay.
sucks that most of these use gyro tho, feels really awkward to use (left stick on any controller can be used instead but it’s still not ideal) (unless you’re like sitting on a toilet or sth lol, where you can comfortably hold the phone flat)
the clock app has a built in spotify integration and player.
the calculator sends diagnostic data.
