It’s weird that I can play Portal 2 via Proton but Portal 2 mods crash. Also, Doom Eternal works but not via Steamlink.

I’ve been using it for 3mo now. Mostly no issues, except for installing packages without flatpak, and also the weird random slowdown to freeze (I’m assuming memory management?) I mostly use my machine for learning freecad, watxhing jellyfin, using a browser, and playing Genshin (relaxing to play while people bitch at me on my phone job)
I downloaded Photo GIMP and had very little issues doing what I needed. I’ve dabbled with PS for years mostly for editing actual photos and designing graphics, but never professionally, just as a hobby. The mod just works.

Don’t cross this line. *moves it ahead 30m.

I just don’t understand this. Try try try again, announcing it’s location each time with no expectation it will ever work. This country kills foreign journalists and the world turns a blind eye. This will eventually end with them dead, and there isn’t jack shit that will be done about it. Israel somehow has the world by the balls.
I have a Brother l8900cdw and it is a beast. Does everything well, third party toner is cheap, and I love that I can use it with Paperless to save my scans straight from the homescreen. Doesn’t make pretty pictures, but it was a panic buy during peak covid and printer shortage, and it has served well since (don’t need pictures anyhow, just text and simple graphics). Only drawback is Wake on Lan doesn’t work well, fixed by just scheduling a reboot at 10am every day.
Other drawback is my wife asking me to move it up or down 15 stairs. It sucks to pick that bastard up.

I don’t get Qatar. They have so much wealth but seem to play at weakness militarily. They could easily purchase their way to a large arsenal, and somehow never seem to need to. (Then again, I’m American and have been brainwashed to believe you need 35%+ of all taxes to go to weapons and soldiers)

The only thing LLMs have contributed so far for me is that with my phone job I no longer have to note accounts. It listens, it writes a summary (90% of the time). So far I’ve been instructed to leave the accounts void of notes regardless unless I feel something super important should be added. So nope, you bought the shit. If it works, great, if not, not my fault. I will take breathes between calls now instead of panic typing notes in 10s between calls. It is kinda cool to see the summaries though. It’s definitely trained on clear English though. It hates foreign dialects and LA and MO southern accents. To be fair though, I barely comprehend 80% of people with Cajun accents, and piece together based on context.

Now if it were super pissed off Quakers I’d be more positive for change.
The only reason I still have a s20fe. The last of the sd card phones… sigh

I really would love to see a one page document posted that simply says thus: “Cthulu Tenet - Do What Thou Wilt.”

As my employer has turned to almost exclusive webcrap over software - I see no hurdles really. Webapps run shitty either way. Fucking Salesforce and Opus bullshit… refresh… refresh…

Honestly with Electronics Presidents Day and Prime Days are usually the better deals (just not on Amazon). BF and Cyber Monday are inflated and discounted scams anymore
I’d try removing the share and readding it, make sure to select the remember checkbox. Then add to Places for the shortcut. Only prob I have with Folphin is extracting from shares (hence Peazip), but the workaround is to open via PZ, then extract within the app (would be great to have access to that menu to have another rightclick extract option for PZ to be fast, but meh, not too important.
Not all of us have been absorbed yet. I’ve used Linux in passing for years, but only now have tried just diving on outright. Previously my issues were RAM leaks, having to run commands on a laptop on every startup just to initiate wifi, and WINE performance. The former seem to be fixed, the latter seems to be about 89% there with Proton (I even use it for nongaming). Lutris drove me nuts, so Ijust use Steam to do the hard lifting.
I kept my ref # for 11, but yeah, Bazzite so far suits my needs. Just now really getting used to Linux, and learning as I go. OMV on an old machine for my NAS confuses me more admittedly. Only thing frustrating with Bazzite so far is the locked os. I would like to modify the menu scripts to include peazip options and extraction to Desktop as a menu item, but I can work around that and do things the longer way. Simple things though are pretty easy. Also sucks that I can’t get Doom Eternal to work on steamlink, but it’s of secondary use anyway. Bazzite is faster, no errors so far unless it’s something I tried to do to it. No RAM leaks like I experienced many moons ago with Xubuntu either (like 2015). I think it’s quite viable as an alternative now (especially since MS has lowered the bar so far)
Problem is the wait lists. Cosmere books in my area are on an approximate 18wk wait. Audiobooks nearly double.
Wouldn’t happen to have one for acid lounge would you? Lost mine after failing to use it for years.
Just years ago with Xubuntu. It may just be my use case. Seems to happen with WINE related stuff mostly, and I usually after days running. Once a week restart isn’t too painful.
