Pixelfed seems able to handle larger file sizes than lemmy, and the shitass Macintosh phone takes good pictures 9000 times heavier than necessary. Pretty crazy when you realize you have no idea who or what their motivations might be, but it does work

Another vote for AntennaPod, although Podcini doesn’t seem too different. They all lack a way to make multiple playlists.

Also, on my ancient tablet with Android 7, i use antenna pod except for playback, where i switch to Audio Anchor to avoid some crashing.

typing this now on a Surface Pro 3 I bought 9 years ago. solid hardware, obviously a bit slow. still has an hour or so of battery life. haven’t got around to installing Linux, so the OS is shit, but I’ve never reinstalled or felt it was necessary. I definitely researched and ran debloat scripts. biggest concern is that upgrades are impossible. I think Linux would run well on this machine, based on the support out there.
