Not if China is heavily subsidizing them to kill western manufacturers.

If there was such a fight for EV’s, the US wouldn’t be blocking Chinese EV’s from entering the market.
So it would switch from being dependent on Saudi Arabia to China?
It is substack. It’s might as well be a lemmy comment.
What? Trump advocates to completely glass Palestine. Biden position is to not block Israel from purchasing weapons, but also not getting dragged into a war itself and in fact getting out of Middle East. This is the real reason why West pushes so hard for EVs. US wants completely out, and if Israel wants to fight then let them use their own resources. Bibi would love if US instead of providing weapons would enter and do the job for them.
Actually this is the opposite. Israel wants US involved and start another war on their behalf. US is pissed and saying what it was saying for a while, that it is getting out of Middle East. If Israel wants to fight a war, US won’t block them from purchasing weapons, but they are on their own.
US was saying this over and over and it is finally doing it, which is getting out of Middle East and letting them on their own. This is why there’s also so hard push for EVs.
The policy is to allow selling weapons, not to give them, it is also not what Bibi hopes that US will enter another war and fight on his behalf.
Ok, now they are clearly going too far with DEI hires/s
I guess no one offered anything for .internal
£1.45 per litre translates to $7.03 per gallon. So I would say the claim that prices are comparable to European ones is spot on.
It’s $4.09 14 minutes from me according to the gas buddy and where I live the gas is more on the expensive side.
Except, pretty much anything negative that happened in the last 15 years (especially tied to social media) if you look into it Russia always seems to be involved.
I recommend reading: “Road to Unfreedom: Russia, Europe, America” by historian Timothy Snyder.
It’s about telling India’s banks that if they are used to letting Russia get around sanctions, they will be sanctioned themselves. The same thing was told to the Chinese banks.
Yeah, this is crazy, if you already went through other stages, they should find the time for you.
I’m wondering, perhaps we need a site tracking all those companies that post job openings without actually looking for employees. So we don’t have to waste our time on them, wanna they might also get some consequences from this practice when they actually need new talent.
So do I. Also the only time I had an outage in 25 years was due to equipment failure and, there also was a planned maintenance. It never took longer than a couple hours.
Grocery bags cost like what? 50 cents? It encourages having reusable bags which are more practical anyway and don’t break as often.
As for gas, this is a problem with location. On one side we have ocean on the other we have mountains. This causes pollution to be trapped.
This is why Los Angeles was infamous for its smog in 70s and 80s. Catalysts and specifically refined oil helped being it back to healthy levels.
Also I don’t get the obsession with the gas. If you look at prices the gas prices were static for nearly 15 years. It is ridiculous that this is still an argument to anything.
I love “California disaster” arguments. I have some MAGA relatives that currently live in California, they decided to move and in 2022 in summer visited non-“marxist” states. And you know what? They ended up staying.
I live in California for 25 years now and I love my state. The most opinionated about how shitty California is are people who never been here.
He didn’t hold both chambers. The two “democrats” who supposedly won in Senate even changed their party affiliation after winning.
1st. He didn’t win by 5 million, he won by 7 million. 2nd what you’re talking about wasn’t result of popularity, but how our election system is messed up, where some votes matter more than others. trump not even once won a popular vote. Even against Hilary he lost by nearly 3 million.
Constitution only matters if it is being enforced. And 2017-2020 showed us that very few Republicans were willing to do that.
Currently SCOTUS is debating whether president has absolute immunity (in other words, if he can commit any crime, including murdering his political opponents) something that is absolutely against our constitution, yet they have to debate it.
By allowing to import from China.
Now you are complaining that they don’t want to destroy their own industry with cars made by cheaper work force and heavily subsided by Chinese government.
