Holy @#% this is dystopian
The denial runs deep
I’m used to seeing a small and hard to see Manage Preferences link in that banner that provides a button to reject optional cookies, but we might see different things based on region

(Edit: I was wrong - today I learned after an Oxford dictionary search that casualty includes injury.)
Tens of thousands have already died in Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people, but I haven’t heard anything close to 100k. Here are quotes from the article
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 27,585 Palestinians have been killed, and 66,978 wounded in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza starting on October 7.
Moreover, at least 8,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
Right on, Indo! C’mon EU - nut up and get on the right side of history. This is not a war, this is a genocide
This is an intense read, but it’s one of the most important articles (or two) I’ve read about the ongoing humanitarian crisis, genocide, and apartheid
I think it’s just journalistic safety against a government committing genocide and willing to go to any lengths to conceal that genocide, including defamation lawsuits. Israel is doing everything in their power to make it all but impossible to factually report on the humanitarian crisis they are creating in Gaza. If Al-Jazeera didn’t publish this story, it may not be published at all. So, I think they’re being cautious while they continue their very important work. Also, the IDF has murdered several Al-Jazeera reporters of late, so AJ may also be motivated by a fear to keep their reporters alive
Taking issue with Israel’s genocide is not the same as antisemitism. Anti-genocide ≠ antisemitism
I think Tidal scores the best among music streaming services in terms of compensating artists. I switched from Spotify to Tidal several months ago and have no regrets
I use shrewd as a compliment. It’s a resume/CV type word
Yeah, it’s just partially like that now lol. A few weeks ago there was a side-by-side reddit screenshot post on Lemmy. It showed the exact same reddit post, with the exact same tens of comments (all word for word, some in response to each other iirc), from different accounts less than a year apart. 100% fabrication. I’d never seen such extensive bot-masquerading as people behaviour; it was a realization moment for me
