Been playing Shadow of Mordor again to tie in with Celebrimbor from Rings of Power. However, I found that RoP is terrible but the game is still great.
Transfered from Feddit.ch as they closed up shop unfortunately.

Been replaying Detroit: Become Human. The first time i tired playing years ago on Windows it would crash all the time. Now that I’m on Linux it runs great. I just beat the game amd have to say that it is an absolute masterpiece. So many options to choose from but at least from what I choose the story held together flawlessly.
StarLabs has one with an N200 but that’s still dated
I used to have a SanDisk Extreme Portable running Ubuntu. If it was unplugged, my computer would boot Windows and when I plugged in the SSD to USB it would auto boot into Ubuntu. I have no idea how I did it though. It was my first time using Linux and I followed a guide online.
Edit: found the video
Thanks. The Companion app never seemed to work on my sandboxed Google Play profile on GrapheneOS however. I’ve since found Golden Cheetah which is a native Linux program and totally free. Zwift raising their price was the final straw for me to move on and I’m grateful for it.
GC works perfectly on Linux Mint with my Garmin USB ANT+ dongle, Garmin heart rate strap, and retains all the functionality with my Zwift Hub trainer if anyone is curious.
I login to the student outlook email on the web and use OnlyOffice with Microsoft fonts installed. Presentations and Documents work as needed. I got a fellow student to switch to Linux and he’s had no issues either.
I use IVPN which requires no knowledge of the customer and their payment options. If I can eliminate any form of privacy invasions I will take it. My ISP and DNS provider do not need to know anything about my habits or values as their service I pay them for is internet.
Is there an option to save the new bios update file to a USB stick, then enter bios and trigger an update manually that fetches the file from said USB stick?
I’ve done it this way with an Asrock motherboard for desktop running Bazzite.
I always have a VPN enabled
I thoroughly hate that their website blocks my VPN servers
QuillPad on Android and I don’t have a favorite on desktop yet
I quite enjoyed the game
Oh I didn’t even realize it was that old. All the subsequent posts have links to the past discussions. All the posts seem to have interesting games so I was looking through them all for ideas. Thanks for the discussion!
Cool, I’ll check out this game now. On GoG and a native Linux version
Thank you. I clearly need to prioritize learning more about ports. I have had little time to try fixing this issue (hence why this comment is so late) but figured out it was VPN related. My phone’s VPN was blocking connection. After enabling local network bypass another SMB entry appeared with the accurate IP, if required me to only enter my username and then it connected fine.
I really enjoy the Gulikit King Kong Pro 2 (and would assume the 3 is better) because it all runs on firmware. No software to install, it just works as it should. Also works on Linux without fuss.
On its functionality side it has hall effect triggers and joysticks plus nice buttons.
I have Earthbound on my new Retro DMG but haven’t played it yet. Thanks for referencing the ROM hack, I’ll play that one instead as it seems like a vanilla + experience
You’re welcome. I find Fedora to be much more up to date and refined than Ubuntu but also very stable still, at least the atomic variants as those are what I use. Also Ubuntu has all the controversy about trying to force their own packages at you as well as other things
I know of Gradius Galaxies and Iridian II
