At this point I agree that the (establishment) Democrats are not willing to push back against the corporate oligarchy, but I would say the only way forward is to push hard for progressive candidates in the primaries – people like Zohran who are so relentless on policies that will help people that the socialist label has no negative effects on their campaigns. And then we hope that they can fight through the obstruction that will inevitably be put up by corporate interests.
So uhh… what do you suggest we do?
Amazing how many people don’t understand this.

It literally wouldn’t even let me sign up. I tried on desktop and mobile. Got some different type of error every time, even with attempts several months apart. I decided to just hit the high seas.
It’s true, I have no idea what actually happens to my recycling after it’s picked up, but I guess I can hope…

18·7 months agoWell the point of the article is that they want to shoot down nuclear missiles using satellites. But there’s no reason Elon needs to be involved other than that he’s president.
But that would cost them hundreds of dollars!

Why do you think she doesn’t care about people dying? What would make you think that?
You may have not noticed that there’s one side of the government severely holding back all of those efforts.
Are we talking about the US or Germany? And how long have you been alive? Things like legalized gay marriage, legalized marijuana (not federally but in many states), healthcare that can’t deny people because of pre-existing conditions are all examples of progress that have come in the last 15 years. There’s still a long way to go even on those things I mentioned, but ignoring that progress is needlessly pessimistic.
Yeah it’s infuriating.
