It’s better, but still horrible in its own special way.
Black and gray flags are used by the US military on some uniforms. Civilians also sometimes display them as “no quarter” flags, meaning the person displaying the flag will show no mercy to any perceived enemies. For both of these reasons the right-wing nationalist crowd likes them.
iPhones are actually designed in the US. My point is that the phrase is almost certainly a lie in this case.
Another commented mentioned this is from a US distributor that repackages Baofeng products.
But to be honest, there are so many Baofeng/BTech radios for sale on the internet I was never confident about which were legit and which were knock-offs. I just went for it and hoped for the best. They seem to work fine, at least so far.
Yeah. I have seen the monochromatic flag referred to as a “no quarter” flag, and initially wondered if that was the intent. Or maybe they just wanted to minimize colors to reduce printing costs.
That’s really interesting! I had no idea, but I am not surprised.
Free is good, of course. But I also have some gripes about how Band functions so I’m interested to see what else is out there. Thanks for the Campfire recommendation; I will check it out.
Yes, each generation dies off and passes its wealth to the next. But the boomers are an unusual case because they hold a lot more wealth relative to their size. Boomers and millennials each account for about 20% of the US population. But boomers hold 50% of the wealth in America, while millennials only hold 8%. The wealth transfer as the boomer generation dies off is going to be massive. And most of that Boomer wealth is tied up in real estate, which will have a big impact on the housing market when it becomes available.

(Gen X is somewhere in the middle and I’m skipping over them, as is tradition. They wouldn’t want it any other way.)
Edit: meant Gen X, not Gen Z.
I wish you could send some of your snow over here. I love the stuff, and I usually have to drive to the mountains to get to it.
“Latitude” can mean freedom of choice, or scope of work, rather than position on the Earth. I think he’s saying that it looks like the work of some low-level employee just doing what they’re told without thinking much about it.
Some brands do this continually. That’s how Eddie Bauer or The Gap is constantly having a 30% off sale on one thing or another.
And it works. It’s called “price anchoring.”
Competing standards and clueless sellers are bad, and then the tire marketing makes things even worse.
Marketed for road? That’s 700c.
Marketed for mountain? That’s 29".
Marketed for ebikes? That’s 28".
But all three tires fit on the same 622mm diameter rim.
Sure, they have more bodies. They increased the maximum conscription age to 30 last year, and keep calling people up by the hundreds of thousands. But a large army is not necessarily a good army, especially if a substantial portion are conscripts.
three-month probationary basis
Stating this indicates they will never give you an ounce of trust, nor the benefit of the doubt in any situation.
Apologist? It sounds like NATO standing up for itself and refusing to cave to Putin’s egregious demands.
nor has Congress provided a specific statutory authorization for the involvement of United States Armed Forces in the armed conflict or any hostilities in Niger.
Yes they did, Rand: the Authorization for Use of Military Force of 2001. Your own father voted for it when he was in Congress. It’s a bad law that never should have been passed, but it’s there. Maybe get off your political soapbox and work to repeal it.
Edit: I don’t mean to sound like I’m trying to dunk on Rand Paul. I will applaud anyone from any party who manages to get that law off the books. It has been misused by every president for over 20 years. I’m just out of patience and tired of politicians grandstanding and promoting half-measures rather than fixing the core problem.
I see, the headline is just premature. Al Jazera facilities have not been closed, but the gov’t is actively laying the legal groundwork to do so and it may happen in the coming weeks.

No mention of this on Al Jazeera’s site.
This headline isn’t passing the smell test.
That is an amazing little ad hoc study!
