It’s a great game on the whole, I had fantastic time playing it and super excited for the DLCs. Fantastic that other people are still coming to the game and enjoying it.

There’s two things that would get me buying Project Q:

• It has to be reasonably priced, less than $300 is a good indicator but still errs on the side of too much for me.
• When they say over wi-fi, they have to mean it. I don’t want it to be wi-fi connectivity to find that it’s always making a round trip over the internet, regardless of being on your home network.

Because of the latter, I’ll be keeping an eye on what it’s like post-launch and seeing what the consensus is. Maybe I’ll then get it a few months in.

I think people often forget this about Final Fantasy. Characters are pushed down one of several archetypal roles and personalities due to story and lore dictating most elements that little flexibility is left for the customisation and personalisation. You don’t get to build your character, the world does that for you.

I’m still playing through Final Fantasy XVI, so that has all my time this weekend.

So glad I’m not going through this any more. I think I’d rather be single than do online dating again.

This is what I did. Beyond the initial announcement video I tried to stay as far away as possible, it was difficult but I managed. Hype is not something I’m interested either, there’s been far too many times where I’ve bought into it only to be disappointed. Realised it was my own doing in the end.

Agreeing with a lot of what you’re saying here; is it the best Final Fantasy game? No. Is it the best in recent years? Probably. Mind you I did feel like there was a lot of life in FF and the main numbered series, but this just helps make me certain that there’s teams and people joining Square Enix who can keep it going.

I have no idea to be honest, sorry. Someone more familiar with Souls might be better to answer that.

I’ve only had a brief test this morning but I never noticed any performance improvements. I’d have expected it to be documented in the change log if it had those improvements mind.

Looks… interesting? The music has me though.

This is great, the cheaper and more accessible it is for everyone the better. It won’t entice everyone, but will certainly bring in a lot of new owners. Also makes replacing my day one, if I need to, more palpable.

I was intending on buying the full collection but I’ve no doubt this will be appealing to some. Glad they’ve made this decision, as long as they’re reasonably priced for those that don’t want all of them.
