I was born and raised in Jap island (Japan for short).

It can send files, but that’s all. Also, kdeconnect doesn’t work over the Internet
As everybody suggests, you should either try Mint again or go ZorinOS. If you have problems there are dedicated communities for asking general Linux questions so feel free to ask.

Also, LLMs are very handy for trivial questions like binding PDFs together (which can be done using pdfunite FYI). Just don’t blindly execute what it says, let it explain the meaning of each part of the command.
Just delete your post already, what’s the point of letting it still there deleting all your comments?
Buy a PC, install debian, install tailscale, install immich. Done.

I didn’t know about dokploy tbh, thanks. It seems to have more refurbished UI. If I knew this first I would have given it a try. The reason why I’m using coolify right now is that I saw it on Hackernews. I didn’t do much research because it was already opensource and self-hosted ( which are the most important features I require for a software).
Since Coolify is working fine on my environment for now, I’m not going to get rid of it immediately, but it’s always a good thing to have many other alternatives so that we can cope with enshittification (aka Plex)

It maybe off topic but I’ve been using coolify for my homelab setup and it’s been working great. It manages all the docker compose files for you and you can edit and deploy them, all from the nice webui it comes with. You can even access the terminal without leaving your browser. Drawback is that you well not get “hardlinking everything” type of flexibility.

Or you can simply use Linux Mint or Zorin OS if you really can’t stand with a new UI
Sick. I wonder if that keyboard is actually good for typing though.

More than that, it can block those nasty websites entirely

really want that too
You’re kind of rude to assume that they are not sensible enough not to trust what ChatGPT says blindly. I also use LLMs but I check if everyhing is alright before I do anything it suggested me to. IMO, it’s okay to use LLMs if you can learn something from it. (but I can’t afford a server with a GPU, sadly)
Macbook Pro should work fine. Buy extra PCs if you it’s not enough for you. Also, I recommend buying a domain from a legit provider
I use debian cause it just works.
I was a Nix user (more specifically, nix-darwin user) but after being away from the computer for like one year (to study for the university entrance exam), I completely forgot how to use it and resulted in erasing the computer. Nix/NixOS is fun, but it was too complicated for me.

I bet you’d like filebrowser. Cleaner interface while being minimal as http.server

still better than Mr.Beast, I guess
You’re not in the sudoers file. This Incident will be reported.
