My indirect experience with python is that it is slow as hell. Anytime I install an app that includes python it lags 15-30 minutes on that step. Anytime I’m asked to install something with conda it takes 30 minutes to an hour.
I’m sure that is just due to environmental and implementation issues, but the Java fans say the same thing…
That’s when they turn the farm into a themed hotel that is only open during select holidays.
I loved all of the Miyazaki films except The Wind Rises, which I found to be awful and boring. So I’m kind of afraid to watch this one. Is it more like his earlier work or more like the wind rises?
Just yesterday I discovered the prices change depending on whether or not I’m logged in. Supposedly this only happens when there are multiple sellers and Amazon favors the ones that honor prime… but I could not find the lower priced seller anywhere when logged in. Now I’m wondering if prime actually increases shipping costs because vendors just raise their overall prices to cover it… very, very close to dropping prime this year.
You are lucky. Last night both Linus Torvalds and Bill Gates broke in my house and held me at gunpoint until I made my choice. (Tim Cook would have been there too, but apparently he was guided down the wrong street.)
Best: I honestly cannot decide between Oshi no ko, Frieren, and Apothocary Diaries. Each is excellent but in different ways.
Worst… Maybe the fruit of evolution. The first season had a quirky dumb sense of humor that made it work, but what little I saw of season two was just bad.
Core implosion did not disappoint, but I hope the next one is bigger.
I used to think this way, then I realized physical property is not real either. Both are defined by the state, recorded on paper somewhere, and protected by force.
Just because you can actually physically go to my property does not change the fact that it is only my property because I have a deed.
I’m still not sure how to feel about IP but I’m less dismissive of it for now.

This was just OK. The underlying story and world is good enough to carry the adaption, but the pacing was awful. Crawling at times, literally fading to black to skip foward at others. Moments that seemed pivotal and important were all but skipped though (the whole dragon bit which sets up the plot for the rest of the story…)
I don’t hate links opening in Edge, but I loathe the stupid split panel crap. What moron at Microsoft thinks I need a copy of the email, message, whatever that I just read AND STILL HAVE OPEN IN OUTLOOK taking up space in the browser?
Same here only it was 20 years ago. UML professor was convinced it would replace programming.
