That’s good to know, thanks.
That’s good to know, thanks.
Used to live in a townhouse where two doors down this old guy would always sit outside and smoke his cigars. (The neighbor in the unit between us said that he is the oldest retired Chicago Bear still living. Edit: Found out the guy’s name. John Damore.)
I worked from home at the time. Every time when it was a nice day out, not muggy, with a cool breeze, I would open up our windows and smell nothing but his cigar smoke.
I don’t understand any of that, but I’m about to move into a brick house and now I’m wondering if my cell signal is going to suffer.
It was the “hours kneading and rolling and cooking” that gave it away for me, then the end confirmed it.
Suggestion: Get some canned refried beans. With the tortillas and cheese, you can make burritos.
Better suggestion: Get a bag of dried pinto beans and learn how to make your own beans. It’s really simple, just needs to be aimmered a long time.
I’m now rereading the original comment in my head with a Russian accent. It totally takes the edge off, actually makes it comical.
Still playing Dorfromantik. My map is so large now that it takes about a minute to load. I think my score is around 800k. I have 50+ tiles in my stack but am about to complete a bunch of flag quests so that number will shoot back up again.
I’m kind of tired of playing but also can’t stop because I’m wondering if I can beat the record.
You must not have seen my reply in that thread:
My husband and I both have been using Tempur-Pedic office chairs for about 15 years. Starting in 2004, we both worked desk jobs from home (he still does, I only recently shifted careers) and both play video games so we have used the shit out of our chairs, and they are still good. I like that the seat is wide enough so I can fold my legs up under me if I want to.
I feel like that could happen in the same way that “you and I” became a common overcorrection.
That comforting hum/scratch sound. 👍🏽
Can confirm. Had my mammogram last month and they recommended an ultrasound because my breast tissue is dense. I’ve had it once before with no problems, but my husband’s company switched insurance providers and it kicked in January 1, so now the lab where I normally go isn’t in-network and every lab that is in their network wants to charge me hundreds of dollars. This is with good insurance. (My husband always picks the most expensive insurance package because we’re getting older.)
Money is a little tight right now because I’m in between jobs, so at this point I’ve given up. I’ll look into it again when I’m employed again but it’s just not affordable at the moment.
4 times, that’s rough. Were they all pretty bad cases?
I feel lucky I’ve only gotten it once despite working retail, but I did get the flu once too and it was much worse than COVID.
For anyone curious, I do keep up with my vaccines and boosters.
Husband convinced me to jump into War of Rights with him, so I bought it (currently 50% off on Steam) and we’ve been nubbing around together.
That’s great to hear that everything is still going with a healthy population. WvW is definitely a ton of fun.
I remember one skirmish we had where we came upon an enemy “blob” by a small lumber mill (I think?) and they all jumped up and stacked on a tree stump. For what purpose, I’m not sure, but I like to think they thought they had the higher ground. We wiped them, of course.
How is the server population in GW2? I used to play that a lot and really enjoyed the WvW action too.
Dorfromantik – so relaxing! Planning to try to finish a couple other games (Guardians of the Galaxy, Far Cry 6) over the winter break too, and maybe start new ones (RDR).
I’ve been trying to play Guardians of the Galaxy but have been too busy with work and school since September. I only recently saw the movie based on a friend’s recommendation, and I loved it. Thought it would make a fun RPG, and sure enough there was already one, and it was on sale when I looked so I snagged it. Maybe I’ll finish it someday.
I’m a casual gamer and I used to play Overwatch. There’s always the practice range or training room, I forget what it’s called. But what really got me learning all the characters was playing Mystery Heroes over and over.
I haven’t played too deep into it, only gotten past 2-3 boss fights, but it’s fun so far. I’m enjoying the gameplay and the music. The story is pretty much the same flavor as the movie.
As someone who works retail, I’m pretty shameless when it comes to kicking people out. I do it politely and with a smile but I have no problem telling customers we’re about to close or are closed.
