I appreciate the validation. Not that this matters all that much in and of itself but the Internet can be an isolating place. Most people respond to tell you how very wrong you are. So I appreciate it.

I tagged you “weirdo” long ago because you’ve gone out of your way to start shit with me before. So just know I won’t see anymore of your replies, you can’t start anything else with me. You will be bitching into the void.

That user is annoying. They write long winded rambles and then always write that at the end.

I’m a simple man. I see

And I downvote.

I wonder if I’ll ever see someone criticize another person’s reading comprehension where it doesn’t translate to “the only way someone could possibly dislike the angry nuance-less thing I’ve ranted about is if they are too stupid to read because obviously I’m always smart and right and good but no one else is”
Not sure I’ve seen it yet. Which makes sense, if someone truly did have trouble reading, it would be a pretty huge dick move to be mean to them about it.
A great question. First of all, all of my services run with docker compose and use volumes for their config storage which get backed up regularly. Then I just use markdown files organized by having a separate file for each service. Basically anything I would need to reproduce my setup on a new machine is what I try to write down. All the docs and compose yaml files are versioned in git. I usually realize I left out info later on and add it as it occurs to me, typically if I have to set up the services on a new machine. This all applies to any software that needs more than a little config, not just apps hosted for the purpose of other machines using them. It’s a very imperfect process, but it’s a ton better than what I used to do which was think “eh I’ll remember how it’s setup”. I rarely would remember all the key details.

Impeachment and the 25th amendment may as well not exist. No one plans to use either when both are more appropriate than one could’ve ever predicted.

Self awareness is good haha

The same one who wants to create the apocalypse and believes the anti-Christ is anyone who isn’t fascistic

Occasionally though, life requires using a shit website. I do avoid it if possible though

Yeah, this is important. Fuck Google. I will only ever use a chromium browser if I have to for work or for a misbehaving website.
Whatever dude. You went out of your way to tell me what was more likely which was a weird move even if you didn’t sound condescending while doing it
I don’t know why we’re assuming I own the place. I don’t.
Classic internet person response. Instead of recognizing that your half assed guess is uninformed, you think you’ve done me a favor by admitting the thing that I (the person with actual context and firsthand knowledge) think is true is possible rather than likely…
It’s a rental and the house is full of “how the fuck did they not fix this” problems. But who am I to say this. I only live here.
“I’ve solved the problem. Now, to unsolved it for the next person!”
I just said that’s what I did. You think they adjusted to be wide open before they moved out? I’m doubtful
You’d be surprised what idiots will tolerate…
My sink effectively was kind of like this. If you turn the faucet on all the way, which is hard to not do in practice, literally every single time, due to how the drain is oriented, it splashed water out of the sink. I would call that worse than mildly infuriating and it’s way better than this situation. I had to turn the water supply valves way down to prevent it. It’s not ideal but helps a lot.
I’ll never understand how people lived in this house for 15 years before I did and were fine with water splashing out 100 times a day.
I mean that might happen, but I think normally people just refuse to read if the tone or overall point isn’t to their liking. I know I do that. If someone starts off being a jerk I don’t read their 10 paragraph diatribe. Doesn’t feel productive.
