so tired of people recommending thinkpads when there are much better options. the fact the control and alt key were swapped for years is enough to never get ibm or Lenovo.

I’d check local places like offerup. can get business laptops for cheap when places refresh. there are a few people around me selling 3-4 year old dells with i5/i7, nvme, etc. take a Linux USB and install it on site before you buy to test. they’re more than enough specwise for daily use or testing. often sub $300

You can use multiple work accounts in the app, have some clients that have their clients give them accounts to communicate internally with them. Just have to keep switching.

Nope. DNS blocking will cover about 90% of ads, not YouTube or IMDb though, probably some others too. They’re served from same domain.

Nope. Ive been burned on several games (back 4 blood anyone?) And tired of losing. Maybe the game isn’t for me, maybe it won’t run on my system. I have several games I bought after trying them from torrents: rimworld, farcey series, fallout 4 (love/own 3 and NV, needed to test 4). Several games that I really like I’ve bought a second copy for a shared account so my kid can play them also.

Nothing wrong with trying before you buy in my opinion. My library is full of games I r never installed. :(

Convenience and family plan is the only reason I have it. I’ve also got a local DNS server with ads blocked, so that helps. Otherwise I’d be pirating again. Have over 80k songs from back in the day, just need the newer stuff.
