This is true. What I’m saying is I respect the willingness to ‘do it anyway’ attitude.

Canada didn’t leave the UN.
Would be cool if they said fuck you to the EU.
People kept worrying about Canada breaking a UN rule but Canada said fuck it and did it anyway.
Did this actually happen to you? I’ve been to, and even smoked weed in (discreetly), Germany many times as a tourist without issue. It was just annoying that it was technically illegal…but no one ever attempted to drug test me or ask me about drug use at all.
Is this real legalization like in Canada, or fake legalization like most other places?
If a tourist can’t buy it from a store, fly to a different city/state domestically with it, and then smoke it at a designated airport smoking area outside the terminal… I struggle to see that as full ‘legalization’.
If you are prohibited from doing all those things, it just seems like a different version of prohibition. Step in the right direction though, sure.
But… alcohol should be legal, no? Despite the harm it causes, prohibition simply does not work.
Cannabis can also cause harm (albeit less harm than alcohol) but should also still be legal. And other drugs like fentanyl (arguably) cause more harm than alcohol…but should also be legal.
Prohibition is literally never a realistic solution to any drug or drug problems. Not a single country has ever had success.
I think it works well in Switzerland.
Had you accidentally turned on ‘avoid highways’ by chance? Because the one time that happened to me it was.
I think some of them were at that music festival…
I also prefer the actual legalization of all drugs. Decriminalization is barely better than prohibition with inconsistent purity and implicit support of organized crime.
Edit: Oh sorry, I misread. I’m curious as to why you support decriminalization but not legalization. Also, aren’t many forms of opiates already legal when sourced correctly? Like for medical applications and stuff?
The only drug specifically mentioned in the article is cannabis lol. As such, no not Portuguese, but I am from somewhere much more progressive than Portugal when it comes to cannabis regulations. Can a random tourist even go buy a joint legally from a store in Portugal yet? If any adult can’t go buy it from a store legally without any further justification, then it isn’t actually legal.
But they had already discovered it. They both used opium and traded opium well before the British flooded them with it. “it was a normal item of use and trade for centuries before the 1840 war”
The way Korea vilifies recreational drug use is completely absurd and likely led to this.
I love traveling in Korea (and Japan), but have a hard time convincing myself to go back to a place with such fundamentally unethical policies in place.
She matched with you because she wants to fuck. Ask her out bruh.
I have never seen the term used contemporarily to describe a non-Muslim civilian killed specifically because of their faith.
A lot of times I don’t read the drink sections of the menu because I’m not having a drink. Or I might skip the dessert section. Sometimes the special that the server tells me about sounds so good so I just say ‘I will take that please’ without looking at the menu at all. I don’t read menus cover to cover nor do I inspect all signage on a window…but I guess I will now when visiting the USA since apparently that’s the expectation. If I did notice such a thing before ordering, I would just not eat there.
And any mandatory fee is not a tip by definition so I see this as a completely different issue from tipping culture.
I 100% would after offering to pay the full bill as indicated in the menu. I bet 99% of the time they would just accept it too. Only a sucker would pay a random tacked on fee they never agreed to.
I like(d) Swoop too though lol.
Flair!
I’m not even kidding, I prefer it to the majors. Not for everyone though lol.
While low risk, I think index investing still counts as gambling. The house maybe too.
Depreciating investments like a car should be ok though.
