Exactly, and the only thing they have is increasing the guilt factor. But they’re gonna learn when put up against a cliff and a little guilt trip I’m just gonna take the guilt.

but of course. unless stripping them nude is an option.
it’s going to be corporate, In-store managers have practically no control. The person in charge of these practices is likely to be titled a regional director or similar, and even then they are going to be “translating” and implementing board/owner instructions.
My tipping follows the inverse of how much I am paying for the product. If the product is well priced and the service was good I have been known to tip 100% for excellent service. Now that everything is nearly double the cost of what it used to be I am more inclined to tip 50 cents to a dollar max.
They should be paying exceptionally well for what they are charging, but we know that isn’t the case. I don’t have unlimited wealth to spend either, fuck me for being poor and wanting some comfort “restaurant” food occasionally.
I use the assistant on kagi, model is Claude 3.5 Sonnet
First question:
And what you are replying to is the output from my second question:
Y’all need better AI :) The one I “use” gives a good argument in favor of the musk is a fascist interpretation
Even worse the password was accepted in full when registered, but the login field won’t accept the full length.
Fair, the only reason I was watching that long was because I was just a young child, once I was able to provide for my own entertainment I never looked back to TV.
We’re back to television content-to-ad ratios
I hate ads too but we’re not there yet. When I stopped watching tv it was like at least 30% ads and I am sure it got worse the decade after I quit while it was still relevant.
EndeavourOS, Simply Arch with an installer, has KDE as an option for DE.
I use it, I love it. Arch is great. EOS just cuts out the first few hours/days of set up.
Steam said my partner was ineligible, so no, steam gets final choice. 😢
It’s like the meme, is there someone you forgot to ask?
:) Yep you can! There’s “An Anime Game launcher” for linux
For gaming - https://github.com/sonic2kk/steamtinkerlaunch1 It bundles a few useful things as well like another suggestion: https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode as well as quite a few others, tinker is especially useful if you want to mod too, making mod organizer 2 very easy to use, taking a lot out of the otherwise manual set up
Also in general, look for custom launchers, Genshin has a custom launcher, runescape as well, I believe gog does too. If you can’t use foss at least use a better launcher.
for media honestly you can’t beat VLC, but I run a plex server I typically use, for music I use strawberry, and for asmr desktop noise Blanket is a super cool package, and I like Cozy for audio-books.
Edit: Oh and for gaming I saw another comment recommending retroarch and I totally agree, retroarch works amazing on linux, so much better performance than I ever had emulating on windows before I switched.
I’m dead
As it is running sudo with a long process is annoying missing and having to reenter my password or missing and the process timing out if I go afk to wait, I can’t imagine having to type my password every few moments when I run an upgrade. Surely this is not the pitch. This is already looking dead in the water if so, and god help me if I have to remember to type run0.
I wish I had your self control, cravings ruin me. But I am trying to be better lol.
I just started using it today after seeing a comment on it, it may have been yours and it seems fantastic, I took a look at their demo searches and it reminded me of old google while still keeping elements from new google I find useful, and being able to disable or disable any feature I want is amazing.
I haven’t dug in too deep on making my own lenses yet, since they had some very sensible defaults (I mean seriously they have a default lemmy/fediverse lens) but that feature seems incredibly cool and useful if I want to set up something to easily search a variety of niche, focused websites on a subject I want to search on a regular basis.
I was worried about it not featuring conversions/math stuff but prepared to use WolframAlpha for that, but it included them, the only thing is oddly after providing the answer to my test math query of 88+17 it showed search results from the quran and the bible lol. But I suppose that was just a minor oddity.
I was not technically a newbie since I had previously used ubuntu in the distant past (as if ubuntu would truly prepare someone for a more advanced distro), and probably a few others I can’t remember, but I came back with EndeavourOS and I’m having a great time. I did have a few challenges though I am fairly tech savvy and I knew what I was getting into so I was definitely not a regular novice.
After a single serious oopsie that bricked my system but I was able to fix I’ve been running a very stable system. I’ve kept with it for nearly 2 years now on my initial install with practically no issues, at least none I wasn’t willing and able to solve. I troubleshot an issue I was having with a package installation the other day without finding any help online and that made me proud of myself.
I would have considered myself a decent power user on windows, and I feel like a sub average arch user, but hey I get to learn and improve more now.
