The food prices went up 20% so my logic is if I continue to tip the same % the waiters should still make more money. Increasing the food prices and also doubling the tip is just double dipping. My work isn’t paying me 20% more every year so I can’t be paying for everyone’s inflation.

That’s California though, where everything is expensive. In the east coast I paid around $0.20 this summer which includes peak hours. Although it has steadily gone up in the last few years. It used to be $0.12-$0.14.

Okay, understandable. If we are just talking trains, Amtrak trains do the same and don’t issue seat numbers so in my experience the train is never crowded and every one gets a window seat which is preferred by many here rather than being seated next to a stranger.

It can’t be overcrowded if the ticketing system works as it is supposed to. They can’t book 75 people for a train which can only seat 50.

Southwest Airlines does their ticketing a similar way. You get assigned a boarding number but not a seat. So if you check in early you get a better boarding spot and hence a get to pick your seat. Does this mean there are more tickets issues than the available seats? No. Sightseeing cruises don’t have seat numbers either, you get there early and grab a good spot. This might not be common to people and hence they are mildly infuriated. The other option is paying extra to get a reserved seat which I’m sure will be infuriating because the person next to you paid a cheaper price.

That happened to me a few times before. I got the shipment in 2 days through Amazon even though I ordered through eBay.

It just says no “specific” seat reserved but you’ll have a seat reserved, you just don’t know which one. It’s good if you can get there early and get a window seat.

But the cheap no name brand stuff from Amazon still come from the same factory in China. Only difference is you’ll get it in 2 days, pay more even though Amazon workers are underpaid and overworked and just make Bezos richer.

All the cheap no name brands are just the same Chinese products. One good example I have is, last year I got a knockoff Apple Watch band from Amazon as a gift for Christmas which was $10. Since it was the wrong size I bought one myself from AliExpress. When it arrived it had the same packaging and product number on it. Only difference is that it was $1 and took 2 weeks.

If you don’t buy cheap no name brand stuff from Amazon then this doesn’t apply to you but from my experience people buy the cheapest product and hence temu became popular.

Not sure what you are looking for but I can easily buy the same stuff on eBay or Walmart or directly from the retailer. I do a search of Amazon and then google the same product to look at different website options.

Isn’t the WiFi free? It’s free for a reason. You aren’t forced to use it.

Did you reach out to the seller to confirm? In my experience, if the listing has expired which happens when only one 1 item is being sold, eBay doesn’t show all the info after the sale. I try to look up old orders and this happens a lot. The sellers are usually responsive and care about their ratings so they will provide any listing clarification or even a refund before you can leave a negative review. eBay is also good with buyer protection if the sellers refuses a refund. I suspect eBay cannot change their reviews so they are giving time for the sellers to resolve any issues.

Not sure how large but I recently got a bill for $3000 without having any issues. It took a while for it to get through the insurance but I didn’t have to make any calls. If you are disputing each charge and getting them to reduce the bill, then that’s a different story. Again, maybe only my experience has been good.

Yes, the system is bad and we should have universal healthcare but I never had to call anyone to figure anything out in the past 15 years. The hospital sends me the bills after getting it through insurance. Not sure who your insurance provider is but this issue is not common.

It is crazy because OPs case is not very common, at least in my experience. The hospital sends the bills to the insurance and later I get a bill for what I owe. I don’t need to make any calls.

Download Adblock / Adblock Plus / Adgaurd app. Follow the instructions in the app to add the Extension for Safari.

For system-wide ad block in apps, use something like NextDNS. This blocks the app banners.

You can block all these ads just with Safari or Firefox without uBlock Origin. I haven’t seen an ad on my iPhone in like a decade.

I use an iPhone and don’t see any ads and block trackers / popups. Lots of ways to block them.
