  • 25% Camel case, 25% Pascal and 50% of the time flatcase. It drives me insane when I try and autocomplete a folder only to realise it was Downloads instead of downloads. I keep telling myself i will go through and make it all flatcase but I put it off because i tell myself i will rebuild my computer next week every week.

I know you specifically asked for not this but its the only game i know that is a good rpg on mobile. You could play old school Runescape. Its essentially single player since there aren’t many parts of the game that require co operation. You will see other players walking around the world and talking but you can turn public chat off so you never need to see anything they say. The game is incredibly light on data usage since it was designed as a browser game in the 2000s.

  • There is the overkill method of proxmox clustering VMs. You could work from a cloud instance of your distro. There is NixOS, you would clearly define your whole system and then back up and import your home folder when switching between the PCs. Since you are using an immutable distro already you can probably skip nix and use a onedrive type solution setup to sync your home directory. I havent used it but other people have suggested Syncthing and it seems like it would work for your use case and be the simplest option.

  • Yes it’s a dumb article that is excitedly running propaganda for the largest polluter in the world. They glaze China for doing less than the bare minimum and make claims that are completely contrary to what statistics and the Chinese government openly state. China’s emissions have not peaked in 2023 just because they had one small period of declining emissions in the energy sector.

Chinese government shills love to point to any statistics that obfuscates the damage China is doing. For this article its the % share of renewables. Climate change doesn’t care if you add 100twh of solar if you also are also adding 70twh of coal and gas.

Once we get the full yearly data for 2024 and compare it to 2023 we will see that total non renewable energy emissions have increased and this articles prediction will be wrong.

Ubuntu is a great distro. It’s performant, ,its stable, its well configured it looks nice out of the box. For seasoned Linux users they can be more picky with which their distro but as an intro to Linux I always recommend mint and Ubuntu.
