So thank you for the clarification.

Doesn’t finamp provide music player features?
I wish jellyfin would support downloading music out of the box.

Tell me you don’t understand how GPL works without telling me how GPL works.
GPL has been battle tested in court and has the most precedence than any other license. Hell I’d even include proprietary licenses.
Core Android and ChromeOS are FOSS because they have to be. But because Linus Torvalds didn’t want to move Linux to GPL3, we have proprietary bootloaders with free software.
THAT’S how we have corporations profiting from GPL. Not because GPL allows anyone to use it.

Oh no. We’re going to get Vibe Clocks aren’t we? AI is just going to spit out times and it’s on you to check to make sure it’s correct.

As much as I would like to agree with you, permissive licenses are killing open source software as a whole since corporations absolutely abuse the software, provide very little value back to the code in return, and often DEMAND the authors patch their vulnerabilities.
Open source props up the world and the least that corporations could do is throw 0.0001% of their revenue their way. But they can’t even be bothered to do that.

Because it has no copyright. Each new translation has a new copyright.

It’s always the King James Bible.

There’s a way to detect when students yell “help” or “call 911” from the bathroom that doesn’t require any technology.
You have a staff member within earshot of the bathroom.

Create a trust instead.
Contact an attorney to draft a trust where you all share equity at an amount you all agree to. The terms of the trust should indicate how someone sells their interest and what happens upon default, etc.
The trust buys the property and owns it. Ownership is managed through the trust.
The hardest part is qualifying for a loan. You’re essentially operating as a business and most home loans are designed for people and couples.

Idiot.
It has a chip. You insert it.

Oddly no but I suspect that it’s either due to them not caring enough for one person doing this or them thinking their T&Cs will prevail in court.
For me, I don’t see a loss. Either my contract doesn’t hold up, which means that I only lose time and money or it does hold up in which case I lose time and they (and every other company that has clauses where you accept terms by continuing services) loses their contract terms.
If it ever came to it, I would bet the company would choose to settle rather than risk a president being set.

Shit like this is rarely enforceable but in order to find out, you need to have money.
What I like to do is clap back and send them my own terms and conditions, with the stipulation that if they don’t write back, then they are accepting them.

There is an awful lot of white in this picture.

Tbf …this is a common problem

Honestly this is the best suggestion especially if you can mount your windows partition read only. You get the benefits of Linux while still having access to your files.
For most folks, the biggest hurdle is getting compatible apps. Once you find the apps you need, moving over is just a backup and restore away.

I agree. This thread is for actual advice. rm -rf / belongs in a joke thread.

I could see a “NetZero” approach to electric charging where you choose to watch ads for free or discounted electricity. Which will then turn into you having to watch ads to enable the charger.
Yes you can but the practicality of doing so is very limiting. Hell I ran my own CA for my own internal use and even I found it annoying.
The entire CA ecosystem is terrible and only exists to ensure connections are encrypted at this point. There’s no validation or any sort of authority to say one site is better than another.
