I mean i have no idea how to stop Prowlarr from processing shit it doesn’t need to like extra languages. This is a work around that can also be used to weight other shit so i figured it would be a good share.

Last few years i had to completely redo my setup (migrated to proxmox) but i got to do it slowly and methodically. I got to know a lot of the arr stack very well and with some really good proper tweaking you can get an almost 100% automatic, no user interaction required setup.

I can actually help ya out with this. Not sure why Sonarr no longer let’s you select the language profile (it used to).

For adding extra requirement (eg language, group, etc) you need to set up a custom format, give it a score/weight in your profile(s) and then set the minimum score required to get you what you want.

Then add the language condition and pick the language you want. You can add multiple conditions

Then go to your profiles and add weighting and requirement to each profile

I second restic and i use it with wasabi. Haven’t touched it in years. Do a fire still once a year and it’s worked perfectly. I even basically cloned my proxmox setup the other day.

My wife and i have been using it for a year. I already had all my docker volumes set external (was always confused at that initial choice) and I’ve not had one real breaking change. Got logged out a lot after some patches but it’s been brilliant software so far. App is a little wonky and could def use some polish but overall well worth the cost for me. Same with my Plex pass although i wouldn’t buy one nowadays because i think it’s a but much for something that’s not in anyway a “private” service unless you kind of jail it and only play locally.

X2 for clonezilla. I would usually go the path of the OP with one exception: this particular example. Clonezilla just works so perfectly for this effect scenario i can’t imagine wasting time using anything else.

I split my setup into storage vs processing. Can one physical box handle both? If the answer is yes then go for it. If all your running is low IO stuff and it’s sipping cpu then one general purpose whitebox is a great start.
