How good is the “HDR Support”? It’s one thing I’ve really wanted for Linux for a while.

Exactly, I switched to Linux mint a year ago and I’ve used the terminal like… twice lol.
This makes me feel better. I had the entire intention to distro hop around but mint was the first one and it just worked lol
Beginners would have a better time with Mint
Mint sets up the entire dual boot and partitioning during the install. You just choose how much space for Mint. Very easy and intuitive.
Second this. I only still have Windows on dual boot because of game pass and I need office for work. Mint just works.
It’s pretty easy, I installed Mint on my laptop and the installer took care of the partition and everything. On my desktop, I just installed an m.2 expansion slot.
I was in the same boat but Linux Mint just literally worked. Easiest transition ever. I keep my Windows dual boot because I need MS Office for work but I’m in mint 95% of the time with no tinkering.
Glad it worked well for you. Didn’t work well for me with my 2070 super. Was immediately broken and refused to acknowledge my second monitor. Linux Mint worked perfectly, so I just want to throw that out there for anyone with the same gpu
I recently installed Linux Mint on my laptop and all video play on Firefox stutters. I’m using chrome temporarily since that works fine until I fix it. Idk if it’s the same issue but just throwing it out there.
Just for the sake of another experience, my dual boot of windows and Linux mint has had absolutely no boot issues for me ever
Man you really could have just said “no”
Awesome, thanks so much. I actually just purchased the same monitor so this will be very helpful when I set it up.
