Iran claimed on Sunday that it shot down a US C-130 support aircraft in southern Isfahan, Anadolu reports.
The plane was destroyed “by heavy fire from a police special forces unit,” the semi-official Tasnim News Agency claimed, citing Iranian police.
In a statement carried by the state news agency IRNA, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said “joint operations involving the Aerospace Force, ground units, popular and Basij forces, law enforcement, and the Army successfully destroyed the enemy aircraft.”

They claim to have shot it down but in the video you see two engines sitting right next to each other, propellers intact.
Also, the image caption is:
A… prop driven F-15?
Caption on the image is wrong but the image is correct. Here’s a video of it https://xcancel.com/Megatron_ron/status/2040786718132228270
Yeah, I’ve seen the video.
I’m not doubting the image, it’s just weird that they miscaptioned it.
This is how it works. Here’s one of their double humped turbohorse units:
And in the bottom left it looks like a helicopter rotor.
Allegedly two helicopters were destroyed with the plane
I saw you wrote in another comment that the image caption is wrong, in that case the image makes sense.
It definitely is, those rotor blades are way too long for a plane and too thin to be an Osprey.
They AF didn’t report its destruction so it may be one of those stealth UH-60s (like the Osama raid) or some drone platform that doesn’t officially exist. e: maybe they did? I only saw the 2x MC-130Js that were reported demolished.
