I don’t like this headline. I’m all for more cycling and fewer cars, but in many places cars are a necessity, and according to the video, this bike lane would prevent a potentially large number of people from parking near their homes. To be fair, I know nothing about this area, or this state, and I got all my information from watching the video.
Glancing at that still in the thumbnail, it also looks like she doesn’t have a driveway.
I don’t know if that’d be the situation that the woman has, but I’ve been in old neighborhoods in the US with housing built before about WW2 or so, and they don’t have off-street parking, as they predate the automobile becoming very common.
