I’m seeing a lot of commentators arguing that the tail is wagging the dog, downplaying the USA’s role in all this. Israel is a creation of the West and this war against Iran is in line with everything the USA has done over the centuries. Let’s not act like poor USA is being bullied by Israel.
Secondly, many are blaming Trump. This is classic scapegoating and only serves to distract people from the fact that the ENTIRE US government is corrupt. By pointing the finger at an individual, they are reinforcing the lie that democracy exists in the USA and that people only need to vote the right person in next time.
Counterpoint: it is now public knowledge that Israeli intelligence has raised up an entire ruling class of pedophiles in the US and knowably have video of Trump fucking a child specifically. Now we certainly bear some responsibility for allowing that to happen for fear of being called an antisemite, but…
