From a security perspective, these only serve to create an extensive roadblock - and a traffic jam as seen at the end. Disable one in front, one in rear, and you’ve got them kettled. Plus, as you can see, it’s a very slow moving convoy. A dozen bike cops and two cars (Couchfucker + security detail) would be sufficient.

Whoever came up with this idea should be fired.

Neo has a really good video on the presidential motorcade and how it works. It is completely absurd in a place like Milan, certainly, but every part of it is there for a reason.

Here is that video on Nebula

And here it is on YouTube

        One size doesn’t fit all.

Moreover, the president is getting the treatment of a king. They are ostensibly fungible assets. There’s a succession plan. The more they’re protected, the more they’re a target (and invading foreign countries doesn’t help).

and looking at their license plates, around half of them have US ones, which means those cars were probably flown in. or do they have a standing motorcade for Europe? I saw one car had german plates…

I guess from a security perspective it also helps to obfuscate Vance’s whereabouts. It’s difficult to know which one of the 40 vehicles he’s actually in.

You’re right. Only the first two vehicles show signs of armouring. I don’t think that all this theatrics would happen and then not put the cargo in the armoured car. But I’m not an expert, just a critic

He’s in one of two cars, they’re easily identifiable. The rest are various security assets. Armed dudes, jamming suites, surveillance, etc.

Unless you are not in America, being surprise at the incompetence and stupidity of these fuckers in power is unacceptable.

It’s them applying the same strat as in the US even though they are in Milan and the roads are twice as narrow.

I suppose they think there is so many cars it would be hard to know in which the couch fucker is. But still you are correct to say that convoy could be easily completely blocked. And in that case you could have an army to defend it it would be a very bad situation.
