Exactly, systemd (or if you prefer, the systemd family) is designed to be the bedrock of your system. When that’s true, it’s truly one of the most intuitive and streamlined experiences available. Systemd is great; if AND ONLY if your distro is designed around it and designed specifically for systemd, with systemd in mind.
