This is the second time I tried installing Mint on my PC. First time the installer stalled and went nowhere for 40 minutes, second time I’m missing the first option for dual booting. My trust in Linux isn’t the highest right now.
Edit: I was able to get it working. I just shrunk my D: drive by 100GB, for some reason that made it work.
I don’t really mind either way. I don’t really know what to do though.
Separate drives is safer since Windows might overwrite the bootloader when it updates. If you can’t do separate drives, then you want the second option on your screen right now.
The second option doesn’t seem to show me what is on the second disk. It shows me the capacity, but not the used space, and I know there’s stuff on there.
Just boot a gparted USB and resize it yourself.
I’m not really sure what to do then. You might have better luck asking on the Mint forums.
