International law is something which most of the world is currently trying to reconstruct right now. Most countries don’t go all “yeehaw, God said I get to kill you” in their official statements & media, they have a redundant, lawyerly quality to their words
It doesn’t matter how much evidence they have, western media won’t touch it with a bargepole.

True or not doesn’t really matter, because our (US) govt is always supporting Israel even when they say they’re not and we all know it. It’s kinda a big problem. So what Iran says is irrelevant because even if they’re lying through their teeth these less than a 1% chance they’re correct.
