More Americans express sympathy for the Israelis (46%) than the Palestinians (33%) in the Middle East situation, but the margin has shrunk to a new low.

The imperialist/military-industrial complex element should not be forgotten, either. There’s a lot of money invested in the US’s unsinkable aircraft carrier in West Asia.
