    How can we make anime look even generic than we’ve gotten today?! Oh, okay, generative ai! At least then, we won’t have to pay those dastardly animators to animate anime

      There are so many styles of illustration to pick from and mix that your anime doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s unless you want it to. This also isn’t going to solve animation, but what it can do is lead to more manageable workloads for workers so they aren’t dying on the job.

        You mean no manageable workloads because they will be fired so we can have the studio just pick a style from a list instead of making any kind of artistic input wooo

      I see this opinion everywhere now, congratulations, you have identified on some level that there is an aesthetic to low-effort generations that you associate with AI and you have developed a pavlovian response of disgust and moral outrage. Meanwhile, you are unknowingly consuming without question, hundreds of pieces of art that were made with generative AI guided by the deft hands of an artist embracing new tools.
